It’s officially November so that means in about ten months we will get to see the next chapter in the demon clown saga – IT: CHAPTER TWO. All eyes will be on any bit of promotional goodies for the sequel to the highest-grossing horror movie of all time, and that includes the very, very simple first teaser poster for the movie, which has now dropped as the movie officially wraps production.

You can look at the poster below, which features no clowns, members of the grown-up Loser’s Club, or even a creepy sewer drain. No, only the title is on the front, but after the first made over $700 million worldwide and became a cultural phenomenon, do they really need anything more?
The release of the poster arrives to mark the wrapping of production on the movie, which director Andy Muschietti announced via Instagram late last night. We got to see several on-set photos of the cast during production, including of the return of the demented clown Pennywise (Bill Skarsgard), as he floated on down with on a balloon, like a twisted Mary Poppins.

IT: CHAPTER TWO will take place 27 years after the events of the first movie as the now adult members of the Loser’s Club return to Derry to fight back against Pennywise and, hopefully, silence his cackling for good. Actors Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone and Andy Bean will be playing the characters, with the member of the original young cast also returning to make appearances.
Not much to look at at all, but this early in the game we shouldn't expect anything much. It could be a few months before we see any footage from the movie in the form of a very unrevealing teaser that lasts 45 seconds long, We didn't get the first teaser for the first movie until March 2017, but given that WB now knows how amped we all are after the first movie's showing, it's not too farfetched to think they may drop something early.
IT – CHAPTER TWO arrives September 6, 2019.
