The cast of IT: CHAPTER TWO continues to come together brilliantly, which it pretty much has to if it's going to top the excellent cast of the first film. At we know, the sequel will pick up with the Losers twenty-seven years after the events of the first film, when they must return to the town of Derry in order to face their demons and defeat Pennywise (Bill Skarsgard) once and for all.
The role of the neurotic Stanley Uris was played by Wyatt Oleff in the first film, and now Variety reports that Andy Bean is set to take on the role in IT: CHAPTER TWO. The actor is best known for his roles on Starz's Power and HBO's Here and Now. Bean will join Jessica Chastain as Beverly, James McAvoy as Bill, Bill Hader as Richie, and James Ransone as Eddie. That still leaves the adult versions of Ben Hanscom, Mike Hanlon, and Henry Bowers to be cast. Any suggestions? Bill Skarsgard will obviously be returning as Pennywise, as will the child actors from the first movie who will appearing in flashback scenes, and production on the much-anticipated sequel is expected to kick off this summer. I look forward to bringing a change of pants to the theater once again.
IT: CHAPTER TWO is set for a September 6, 2019 release.
