Writer/director Isaac Ezban's Mexican sci-fi horror movie THE SIMILARS (a.k.a. LOS PARECIDOS) will be coming to VOD courtesy of XLrator Media on November 15th. The film has been lavished with praise from multiple sources, but if I were Ezban the review that would blow my mind more than any other is Joe Dante saying "It's a terrific movie."

The story THE SIMILARS tells:

On the rainy night of October 2, 1968, eight people waiting in a remote bus station for a bus heading to Mexico City start experiencing a strange phenomenon. Threatened by paranoia and fear, the strangers show the best and worst of themselves as they try to unravel the mysterious condition that is invading each of them like a virus.

Gustavo Sánchez Parra, Cassandra Ciangherotti, Fernando Becerril, and Humberto Busto star.

To get a sample of what this film Joe Dante enjoyed is like, check out the trailer below. It looks pretty interesting to me, with a unique visual style. I have no idea what's going on in it, but I'd like to find out by watching the movie next month.
