Is Chuck Norris to blame for The Expendables 2 getting a PG-13 rating?

There’s this strange rumor going around that Chuck Norris is the reason for THE EXPENDABLES 2 getting a PG-13 rating.

Well, it might actually be true if what Chuck says goes. There’s currently no rating for the film so I guess we will see when the MPAA slaps something on it.

What did the legendary Mr. Norris say? Thanks to the lovely Marcey over at AITH, who did some digging to find the facts for her article, we have the dirt.

During an interview with Gazeta (which had to be translated), Norris said this about THE EXPENDABLES 2:

First: “Playing in this movie was a lot of fun. I play a super hero, who saves everybody’s life.”

Then this happened: “In Expendables 2, there was a lot of vulgar dialogue in the screenplay. Fot this reason, many young people wouldn’t be able to watch this. But i don’t play in movies like this. Due to that i said i won’t be a part of that if the hardcore language is not ereased. Producers accepted my conditions and the movie will be classified in the category of PG-13.”

Back the f*ck up…what did he just say??? So we might have to tone down the awesomeness that is THE EXPENDABLES for Chuck Norris? Really? I’ve heard that he’s not really into vulgar language and such but come on! Does he not realize what movie he signed up for? Also, did the producers really give in to that? Lots of action, no cursing.

Until we get a rating for the film, it’s still up in the air.
