How would you react if you found out that hostile aliens from another planet were invading Earth? Would you break out your bucket list? Would you set up camp inside a local Wal-Mart and hope for the best? Would you take up arms and confront the extraterrestrial threat head-on? The cast of Invasion is about to find out when the new series lands on Apple TV+.

Inspired by HG Wells’ War of the Worlds, the 10-episode series follows the events of an alien invasion through the lens of several characters spread across multiple continents. The cast includes Sam Neill (Jurassic Park) as Sheriff John Bell Tyson, a weathered rural lawman on the verge of retirement; Shamier Anderson (Wynonna Earp) as Trevante Ward, a soldier stationed in Afghanistan; Golshifteh Farahani (Gen: Lock) as Aneesha Malik, a first-generation Syrian immigrant, wife, and mother living in Long Island, and Firas Nassar (Sirens) as her businessman husband Ahmed; and Shioli Kutsuna (Deadpool 2) as Mitsuki, a mission control staffer in Japan’s JASA space program.

The three-episode premiere of Invasion is coming to Apple TV+ on Friday, October 22, 2021. That should give you plenty of time to prep an Emergency Go Bag and to start hoarding gasoline and canned goods. Invasion comes from Academy and Emmy Award-nominated producer Simon Kinberg (The Martian) and David Weil (Hunters), with Jakob Verbruggen (The Alienist) directing and executive producing alongside Kinberg, Weil, Andrew Baldwin, Audrey Chon, Amy Kaufman, Elisa Ellis, and Katie O’Connell Marsh.
