Explosions, gunshots, and more than a few chokings; Simon West’s THE MECHANIC is a new take on the original ‘72 film starring Charles
Bronson. When Arthur Bishop , a man whose job it is to make people die
in ways that look conveniently accidental, finds out that his mentor
has betrayed his organization, it’s up to him to even the score. But
before Bishop knows what’s up or down, he finds himself the reluctant
tutor to his mentor’s son, Steve, who can never know the truth.
Now we know that being an assassin can be very badass, but what’s it
like for the actors who have to pull off difficult stunts and
dangerous falls? I asked stars Jason Statham (Bishop) and Ben Foster
(Steve) those questions and more, including what brought them on to
this killer project to begin with?
