Interview: The King’s Man Stars Djimon Hounsou and Rhys Ifans

When the cast of your movie includes the likes of Djimon Hounsou and Rhys Ifans, you’re doing rather well. Hounsou is a brilliant actor who has appeared in everything from Guardians of the Galaxy to Aquaman to Furious 7. Then there is the great Rhys Ifans. The actor can recently be seen in a little movie called Spider-Man: No Way Home with many other impressive performances. And now, the two appear in the latest from filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, The King’s Man. The film also stars Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, and Harris Dickinson. And frankly, Ifans and Hounsou are both highlights in this surprisingly dramatic take on The Kingsman series. Don’t worry, the comedy is still intact.

We recently had the amazing opportunity to speak with both of these incredible actors. We started talking about the posters that are behind me. And the two showed charm, humor, and class instantly. Then the conversation turned to Hounsou’s impressive career, and how he became involved with this. And then there was Ifans, who takes on one of the most insane versions of Rasputin you’re likely to see on-screen. He opened up about playing this character and working with Vaughn to bring this disturbing human to life. And now, you too can witness the latest in The Kingsman franchise, in theatres now.
