With the third feature in the Ant-Man trilogy, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, arriving in theatres this Friday, I’m happy to report that it was wildly weird and delightful event to experience (watch for our review tomorrow at noon ET). Featuring the return of Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, and Michelle Pfeiffer, the film also welcomes Freaky star, Kathryn Newton and the very talented Jonathan Majors. And yes, this time around both Pfeiffer and Majors are the MVP. Expect a full review coming soon, but either way, I had a great time with this journey into the Quantum Realm with director, Peyton Reed.Recently, we had the chance to interview the filmmaker face to face. One of the things I appreciated about the film is the wild story that it tells. The director discussed his take on bringing this big budget sci-fi adventure to the MCU. He also chatted about recasting the role of Cassie Long with Ms. Newton, originally played by Abby Ryder Kamen. Reed also talked about bringing Michelle Pfeiffer to the forefront and the casting of Jonathan Majors. It was terrific speaking to the man, and now that the third Ant-Man tale is making it’s way to theatres, it’s your turn to share your thoughts on the latest Scott Lang story.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania opens this Friday at a theatre near you. The film has the following synopsis: Ant-Man and the Wasp find themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that pushes them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.
