INT: Peter Sarsgaard

Peter Sarsgaard is one of the most diverse and interesting actors to come on the scene in the past few years. His vicious portrayal of John Lotter in BOY’S DON’T CRY and also his work in KINSEY, THE CENTER OF THE WORLD, SHATTERED GLASS and his scene stealing work in GARDEN STATE make for a unique and fascinating figure. Yeah, I think the guy is good. And now, he appears opposite Reese Witherspoon in RENDITION.

I got the chance to talk with Peter at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. Now first off, I’m a fan, but I thought he might be one of those indie actors that feels they are better than everyone else. Thankfully, he’s far from it. He is an extremely nice guy who seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Maybe it’s fatherhood, or maybe he’s just a decent human being. I think it might be both. But it’s refreshing to meet someone with his talent that is an utterly kind person. You can see him this Friday, when RENDITION opens at a theatre near you.
