Interview: Naomi Watts, Cameron Crovetti, and Nicholas Crovetti talk Goodnight Mommy

In director Matt Sobel’s latest, the filmmaker takes on the English language remake of Goodnight Mommy. The story revolves around twin boys going to stay with their mother, who recently had reconstructive surgery. It’s a fascinating tale, as it was in the original feature. This time around, Naomi Watts is terrific as the mother in question, and Cameron Crovetti and Nicholas Crovetti shine as the young boys uncertain of the woman underneath the mask they are calling “mother.” With its upcoming release on Prime, you’ll be able to catch this creepy tale this Friday.

Earlier this week, I had the great pleasure of speaking to the incredibly talented Naomi Watts, as well as her young co-stars. For Ms. Watts, she opened up about playing a mom dealing with an extraordinary situation. As well, the challenge of having to wear a mask to cover your face for much of the movie. As far as Cameron and Nicholas are concerned, it was a treat to speak to the young actors. The two told a funny story about them not being told how the film ends so it wouldn’t shape their performances.

Goodnight Mommy is available on Prime, this Friday. So keep the bandages on for just one more day.
