Interview: Lesley Manville and Lucas Bravo Talk Mrs. Harris Goes To Paris

There are movies that just bring joy to your heart. You know, that kind of feel great type of flick where you walk out ready to delight in the world around you? That is the kind of movie that Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris is. Based on the novel by Paul Gallico, the story centers around Ada Harris, a widowed cleaning lady who would love nothing more than to own a fancy dress. Harris, played by the fantastic Lesley Manville, is a wonderful character, and it’s easy to invest in her adventures. The film also stars the incredibly charming Lucas Bravo, as the kind Andre Fauvel, who attempts to bring a little help to this sweet older woman. Directed by Anthony Fabian, this lovely film is one of my favorites so far this year on many a level.

We recently had the pleasure of sitting down for an interview with Lesley Manville (Harris) and a few talented people behind the new feature. First up, I sat down with the immensely talented Ms. Manville, as well as the impressive Mr. Bravo. The two opened up about taking on a film that is a perfect fix for those looking to watch something refreshingly sweet in the theatres. And this is exactly that. For Mr. Bravo, I asked him about working with the lovely Rose Williams. The two of them share such magnificent chemistry on-screen, they almost steal a few moments from the brilliance of Lesley.

I truly adored this terrific film, had a great time with this interview with Lesley Manville, and I’m hoping that audiences looking for a bit of happiness in the cinema make their way to Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. Book your trip this Friday when Mrs. Harris arrives in theatres.
