Interview: Lance Reddick Talks Resident Evil

Lance Reddick has become a major force in the world of action. His work in the John Wick franchise is sensational, as well as his many other feature films and television appearances. The actor has starred in everything from White House Down to Angel Has Fallen. Reddick works consistently by lending his voice to animated series as well. And now, he’s one of the stars of the Netflix series Resident Evil. In it, he plays the role of Albert Wexler – a name that RE fans are very aware of and will bring instant questions as to how he exists here. The Netflix series also features Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Nunez.

We recently had the chance to speak with several of the cast involved in the new take on the RE franchise. And it was especially nice to speak with Mr. Reddick. The actor opened up about playing this iconic role, and how he had the rare opportunity to read seven of the eight scripts early on in the process. His work on the series is quite good, and it’s a pleasure seeing him in this world. Since Resident Evil has been such a divisive franchise over the years, it will be interesting to see just how the fans react to what showrunner, Andrew Dabb has in store. Resident Evil is currently available on Netflix.
