Interview: Jason Segel Talks Windfall

In the new Netflix thriller Windfall, Jesse Plemons and Lily Collins play a wealthy couple who discover a man has broken into their vacation home. The stranger, played by Jason Segel, holds the two captive in hopes to take as much money as he can. Yet as the hours pass, the three begin to play a deadly game, one that could lead to very serious consequences. Directed by Charlie McDowell, this new crime drama takes many an unexpected turn. Instead of relying on shocks, this is all about revealing the mystery in an unexpected way. And yes, all three of these talented folk work perfectly together.

One of the most interesting things about this film is getting the chance to see Jason Segel take on a very different role. As a character credited as “Nobody,” Segel continues to prove what a brilliant dramatic actor he is. We spoke to this fine talent about the new film, and how it all came together. Jason discussed playing something he hasn’t before, and how unique the whole experience was for all involved. As well, the way they all gathered together to make the film during the pandemic is quite a story. And thankfully, the movie itself makes an excellent selection for a Netflix and chill evening.

Windfall is currently available on Netflix.
