Interview: Jamie Lee Curtis and David Gordon Green Talk Halloween Ends

Halloween Ends is finally here. The battle between Laurie Strode and Michael Myers is ready to give you a trick and a treat. David Gordon Green’s final entry in his Haddonfield trilogy is, at least for this viewer, ambitious, wild, and an unexpected way to close out Laurie’s adventure. Returning for one last scare, Jamie Lee Curtis is back, along with Kyle Richards, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Nick Castle, and Rohan Campbell, who joins the cast for the first time. It’s Halloween, and Michael has returned home.

As a massive Halloween franchise fan, I was beyond honored to speak with David Gordon Green and the legendary Jamie Lee Curtis about the film. For Green, the director opened up about exploring new territory in the trilogy. It’s always a pleasure to chat with him, and I’m happy he took a few risks. The fact that he made a franchise slasher film where you can’t quite figure out where it’s going is a bit refreshing.

And then came my time with Jamie Lee Curtis. Having interviewed her in the past, I was especially thrilled to speak to her about her final Halloween. And frankly, she was an absolute professional. Even when my WiFi decided to play a trick on its own, Ms. Curtis didn’t miss a beat. She opened up about her expectations of the character and what she had hoped to do with H20. Jamie Lee Curtis is a consummate professional. It was a special honor to speak with her for one last trip to Haddonfield.

PLUS- to mark the end of the Halloween saga, Meta’s Messenger, Instagram, Horizon Worlds, and Creative Shop have teamed up with Universal Pictures’ HALLOWEEN ENDS to provide one lucky fan the opportunity to attend the first-ever virtual meet ‘n greet with Jamie Lee Curtis in a custom-built Halloween Horizon World. Fans can join the final fight today by building their own custom #KillerReels on both Messenger and Instagram. To enter, head to the @HalloweenMovie Facebook page and click ‘Send Message,’ or send a DM to @HalloweenMovie on Instagram and follow the prompts from there!
