October is here, and it’s always a good time for horror fans. And this year, we have the return of a few familiar faces. In David Bruckner’s remake/reboot of Hellraiser (read our review), the filmmaker takes the story in a new direction. This new take follows a troubled young woman, played by Odessa A’zion, who comes across the mysterious puzzle box. And yes, Pinhead (Jamie Clayton) and friends are back for a bit of Hell on Earth. The film also stars Adam Faison, Drew Starkey, Brandon Flynn, and Goran Visnjic. You can check out this modern take on Clive Barker’s classic tale today, available for streaming on Hulu.
We recently had the chance to speak with the cast of Hellraiser and the film’s director. First up, we spoke with a charming pair as both Goran Visnjic, and Hiam Abbass discussed their part in this new vision. Seeing Mr. Visnjic as part of Barker’s nightmarish world was exciting. Next up, we spoke with Adam Faison and Drew Starkey. The two opened up about their roles and what it was like working with Bruckner. It was a pleasure speaking with these kind and talented actors.
We finished up the afternoon’s conversations with, first, Brandon Flynn and Odessa A’zion. Since the two play an integral part in the new film, they opened up about working on the project and becoming part of this horror legacy. And finally, we spoke with both Jamie Clayton and David Bruckner. The two talked about bringing a fresh and modern take to Pinhead and creating something unique while continuing with Barker’s modern horror classic. Hellraiser is now available to watch on the Hulu streaming service, and it’s certainly worth taking a look for genre fans.
