Gavin Hood is mostly known for his award winning and critically acclaimed film TSOTSI. But in the next year or so, his name is going to be much more popular with this weeks RENDITION and a little movie called WOLVERINE. The South African native seems to be getting a couple of terrific opportunities and I’m excited to see what he does with my favorite X Man.
When I sat down with Gavin at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, I found him to be a very cool guy to chat with. He did an interesting job by taking a very serious political drama while still being entertaining and not depressing. And most importantly, I liked the fact that he really got excited about saying why he liked the character of Wolverine. Here’s hoping that his excitement will add to a great movie. And if you want to see his latest, you can check out RENDITION at a theatre near you this coming Friday.
