Interview: Dune Star Sharon Duncan-Brewster

Denis Villeneuve’s vision is for Dune is astounding. You’ve all heard about the incredible effects and visuals of his latest. As well, you’ve probably heard some great things about the performances with such an impressive cast. This includes the very talented Sharon Duncan-Brewster. From Doctor Who to EastEnders, and even Rogue One, Sharon has followed an exciting and varied path as far as her career is concerned. And now, you can find her in one of the most anticipated movies of the year. In the new film, she portrays Dr. Liet Kynes, and she feels right at home in this incredible group of actors. Did I happen to mention that I’m a massive fan of this compelling and beautiful take on Frank Herbert classic tale.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of talking with Sharon, and she was a lovely person to speak with. She opened up about her experiences working with Denis, and about her personal history with the classic work. Speaking to the cast members, as well as Denis himself, it’s clear that a whole lot of love went into this feature film. Here’s hoping that audiences will embrace it and thus, make way for the sequel. And now that Dune has finally arrived, we’ll be excited to see how fans feel about finally getting the chance to see a proper take on this iconic work.
