Aside from seeing the commercials and advertising for BALLS OF FURY, I had no idea who Dan Fogler was. And frankly, I was very surprised by his many other talents. He won a Tony Award in 2005 as Best Featured Actor for his work in “The 25th Annual Putnam Valley Spelling Bee”. He is also a musician and a sculptor. He has appeared in a number of films including SCHOOL FOR SCOUNDRELS and the upcoming FANBOYS, GOOD LUCK CHUCK and HORTON HEARS A WHO. And now, he battles the ultimate foe, Christopher Walken, in the dangerous world of ping-pong in BALLS OF FURY.
When I got the chance to talk with him at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, I found Dan to be a fascinating guy. He spoke of his work which includes sculpting and music. He also talked about working on a comedy about ping-pong and how it fits into the grand scheme of things. And if you are looking for a big comedy with tiny balls, look no further than BALLS OF FURY, opening August 29th.
