A new international trailer for HITCHCOCK, starring Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson, Danny Huston, Toni Collette, Jessica Biel, Michael Stuhlbarg, James D’Arcy, Michael Wincott, Richard Portnow, and Kurtwood Smith, has arrived, featuring a ton of new footage. It’s a superior trailer to the domestic one in that it weaves a better narrative for the film, giving you an idea of what to expect. It seems to be a lighter tale of the enigmatic director in contrast to the HBO Hitchcock film, THE GIRL, which casts him in a fairly negative and creepy light.
Have a look:
We also have a new behind-the-scenes featurette, which highlights the relationship between Hitchcock and his wife Alma, as played by Helen Mirren. It’s a compelling look into the insight of the actors and filmmakers who constructed the film and serves to pump up the hype quite well.
This looks to be a solid, well-round pic and I’m excited to see it. HBO’s THE GIRL kind of soured me (although very well made), so I’m looking forward to seeing something a little less dark.
HITCHCOCK opens in limited release on November 23, 2012 and goes wide on January 10, 2013.
