International teaser for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is online

The domestic teaser for RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER, the sixth and last (if you believe the title) installment in the video game adaptation franchise, is expected to premiere online at 3pm EST this afternoon, but it has been beaten in the race to the internet by an international teaser.

The teaser is less than a minute long, but there's no shortage of zombies, monsters, property damage, and explosions packed into its seconds. If you're a fan of the series, this should hold you over quite well during the hours remaining before the other teaser arrives online.

Written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, completing the story he began with 2002's RESIDENT EVIL and has been shepherding ever since, THE FINAL CHAPTER picks up immediately after the events of the previous film, RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION, and 

finds humanity is on its last legs. Alice must return to Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is preparing for a final strike against the survivors of the apocalypse.

In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.

RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER is set for release on January 17, 2017.
