After posting our festival guru C.Bum’s review of Francis Ford Coppola’s TWIXT, we haven’t really done much writing about the film. I mean, when homeboy throws a 1/10 rating, where can you really go you go with it?
But I’m breaking the spell here and now. You see, an international one-sheet for TWIXT has hit the wire, and we’ve got it below for you to glance at. As you’ll see, a fevered Val Kilmer looks to be lording over a mannequin-like Elle Fanning. Also, a backwards clock (perhaps reflected) seems to be nearing the tenth hour…for whatever that’s worth.
With difficulty finding distribution, TWIXT follows:
A writer with a declining career, who arrives in a small town as part of his book tour and gets caught up in a murder mystery involving a young girl. That night in a dream, he is approached by a mysterious young ghost named V. He’s unsure of her connection to the murder in the town, but is grateful for the story being handed to him. Ultimately he is led to the truth of the story, surprised to find that the ending has more to do with his own life than he could ever have anticipated.
Aside from the aforementioned, Bruce Dern, Ben Chaplin, Tom Waits and Joanne Whalley round out the principal support.
