In Theaters Friday is a weekly column that provides you with early word on the latest trailers playing in front of the newest movies.
Welcome back to yet another edition of In Theaters Friday. With two new releases this week, you’re in for some special new trailers to behold. Here we go!
In widest release this weekend, SEX AND THE CITY brings us back to the ’90s. Early reviews are all over the place. If you like Carrie Bradshaw you should be well entertained. Trailers looking for placement include MAMMA MIA!, AUSTRALIA, AMERICAN TEEN, THE DUCHESS, EAGLE EYE, NIGHTS IN RODANTHE, SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS 2, and HE’S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU.
The other new wide release this weekend is THE STRANGERS. Starring Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman, this creepy horror flick hopes to sneak in and scare up some box office. Early reviews are sparse but pretty good so far. Trailers looking for placement include WANTED, THE INCREDIBLE HULK, THE HAPPENING, AMERICAN TEEN, and SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS 2.
That’s all for now. Have a great weekend and keep showing IRON MAN some love.
Disclaimer: Not every theater plays exactly the same trailers in front of each movie. Your best bet is to call ahead and ask a manager for as much information as possible. We try our hardest to get you the best information, but nothing is guaranteed.
