A few months ago we brought you word that PARANORMAL ACTIVITY and INSIDIOUS producer Steven Schneider's latest found footage flick, THE HOUSES OCTOBER BUILT, was being shopped to international buyers at Cannes, and now Variety is reporting that Image Entertainment has nabbed the film with plans to give it a theatrical release just in time for Halloween!
Variety shares that Image Entertainment has nabbed North American rights to the THE HOUSES OCTOBER BUILT and will release the thriller simultaneously in theaters and on video-on-demand. The film will premiere theatrically in October in 10 markets, including New York and Los Angeles.
The film centers on five friends who set off on a road trip to visit haunted house attractions, only to come face to face with something more blood-curdling than fake thrills.
Zack Andrews and Bobby Roe directed the movie, which New Regency produced with Schneider.
Sounds like it could be a creepy good time, so I'm curious to check this one out. More on THE HOUSES OCTOBER BUILT as we hear it.
