Paul Solet proved that he was a director to keep an eye on with 2009's excellent GRACE, and we've been patiently waiting to see what he had in store for genre fans with his latest directorial effort, DARK SUMMER. Now we've learned that we don't have much longer to wait as IFC Midnight has picked up North American rights to DARK SUMMER with plans to release the horror tale on all platforms on January 9, according to Deadline.
Keir Gilchrist, Stella Maeve, Grace Phipps, Maestro Harrell and Peter Stormare star in a tale concerning…
…a 17-year-old on house arrest for the summer, who witnesses a horrifying incident and becomes haunted by a terrifying presence while stuck in his home.
"K-Town" creator and PATIENT ZERO scribe Mike Le penned the tale.
I'm sure we'll be seeing a trailer for DARK SUMMER coming our way soon. You can check out some early Cannes sales art for the haunter HERE.
