2015 should be another great year for genre titles and now we've learned the dates for two very promising flicks coming at us from IFC Midnight: the zombie-apocalypse movie WYRMWOOD: ROAD OF THE DEAD and the sci-fi thriller EJECTA.
Fangoria is reporting that WYRMWOOD will roar into theaters, cable and digital VOD February 13. Helmed by Kiah Roache-Turner from a screenplay from Kiah and Tristan Roache-Turner, WYRMWOOD stars Jay Gallagher, Bianca Bradey and Leon Burchill. The film was produced by Tristan Roache-Turner and executive produced by Jamie Hilton and Josh Pomeranz. WYRMWOOD: ROAD OF THE DEAD follows…
…Barry, a mechanic and family man, as he struggles to rescue his sister, who was kidnapped by soldiers on the eve of a zombie apocalypse. He sets out through the harsh, blood-splattered Australian bushland to battle both the undead and the military alike.
Fango also shares that EJECTA, from Chad Archibald and Matt Wield (the Canadian team behind ANTISOCIAL and MONSTER BRAWL) will arrive in theaters, on cable and digital VOD on February 27. With a script by PONTYPOOL’s Tony Burgess, EJECTA focuses on an alien abductee (CUBE and WRONG TURN’s Julian Richings) who is detained and interrogated by government agents. Sounds intriguing, huh? Here's the synopsis:
EJECTA tells the story of two men whose lives cross paths on a fateful night during a once in a lifetime solar storm. An unknown presence besieges the men on a remote farm triggering an intense struggle to survive not only the night, but also the horrific interrogations and tortures of an anonymous organization who will stop at nothing to learn the truth about what the two men witnessed.
