Production on Nikolaj Arcel's THE DARK TOWER adaptation starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey is in full swing, and yesterday Elba shared a teaser graphic for the upcoming film. The actor posted an image on his Twitter that reads “Remember the face of your father,” which he captioned with "I am Roland, son of Steven, son of Henry, true descendant of Arthur. And I have not forgotten."

If you've forgotten the face of your father, it means you have behaved dishonorably, and it's a phrase that is used repeatedly in the Stephen King novels. As for Elba's caption, he's essentially saying that his character Roland the Gunslinger, who is a descendant of this world's version of King Arthur, is fully committed to his cause, which is to find the Dark Tower, the nexus of all universes.
We already know that film is going to be a little different compared to the book series, but it's going to be very interesting to see exactly what changes Arcel and company made for the adaptation, and how fans will react to them.
THE DARK TOWER is scheduled to open on February 17, 2017.
