Idle Hands Collector’s Edition Blu-ray hits in May

Rodman Flender's killer horror-comedy IDLE HANDS with Devon Sawa, Seth Green, Elden Henson, Jessica Alba, and Vivica A. Fox is getting the Collector’s Edition treatment from Scream Factory this May. While new extras are in progress and will be announced on a later date around April, Scream Factory did let us know that director Rodman Flender is very much on board and their production team is working hard to secure the cast.

This is being presented as a Collector’s Edition release and will come guaranteed with a slipcover in its first three months of release. The newly commissioned and director-approved artwork (which you can see below) comes to us from artist Laz Marquez. This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will feature the original theatrical artwork.

The film begins

When slacker teen Anton Tobias (Devon Sawa) has his right hand possessed by a demonic force, he finds that his life gets a lot more interesting. While Anton himself is an amiable guy, his hand proves to be an appendage of death, killing his two best buddies, Pnub (Elden Henson) and Mick (Seth Green), who return to life as wisecracking zombies. In addition to murdering those closest to him, Anton's evil hand significantly hinders his chances with his lovely neighbor Molly (Jessica Alba).

It was directed by Rodman Flender from a screenplay written by Terri Hughes and Ron Milbauer. Andrew Licht and Jeffrey A. Mueller produced along with Jennifer and Suzanne Todd. It starred Devon Sawa, Seth Green, Elden Henson, Jessica Alba, and Vivica A. Fox. Sony released it back on April 30, 1999.
