The SHARKNADO franchise gets most of the love and attention, but they're not the only shark movies The Asylum has to offer, and Syfy is about to prove it. We're currently in the midst of Syfy's Sharknado Week event, a week building up to the July 31st premiere of the Asylum/Syfy co-production SHARKNADO: THE 4TH AWAKENS, and among the movies on the schedule are several other premieres – movies with titles like ATOMIC SHARK, DAM SHARKS, and OZARK SHARKS.

There are also two other Asylum shark flicks set to make their premieres. First up is director Emile Edwin Smith's ICE SHARKS, which makes it debut tonight, July 26th, at 9pm EST.

Starring Kaiwi Lyman and Edward DeRuiter, ICE SHARKS shows what happens when

a new breed of aggressive, ravenous sharks cracks the frozen ocean floor of an Arctic research station, devouring all who fall through. As the station sinks into frigid waters, those alive must fashion makeshift weapons or suffer the same fate.

The other new shark movie from The Asylum is PLANET OF THE SHARKS, which was directed by Mark Atkins and stars Alex Anlos and Stephanie Beran.

The story:

In the near future, glacial melting has covered 98% of earth’s landmass. Sharks have flourished and now dominate the planet, operating as one massive school led by a mutated alpha shark.

PLANET OF THE SHARKS will air on Syfy tomorrow night, July 27th, at 9pm EST.

The trailers for these films can be seen below, and if they look like something you'd like to watch, tune in to Syfy!
