Ian McShane joins Hellboy reboot as Professor Broom

Ian McShane just wrapped up this season's AMERICAN GODS and now it looks like he'll be moving onto Neil Marshall's HELLBOY reboot starring David Harbour.

McShane will be taking on the role of Hellboy's adoptive father, Professor Broom, which is a role that was played by the recently passed John Hurt in the original HELLBOY films.

I'm a fan of McShane so I'm looking forward to seeing how he does stepping into the shoes of the late-great John Hurt as Broom. It's a tough role considering the character tends to be the heart and soul of the Hellboy stories, but I'm sure McShane will pull it off with ease.
