If you ask someone what the best movie/TV car in the world is, and they don’t say The Batmobile, then that person is wrong and you should cease all familiarity with them, and probably call the authorities. The vehicle driven by Batman has everything you could want in a crime-fighting transport from rockets, hyper boost, a sleek look and so many other gadgets I would go insane listing them off. Like, clinically. In fact, it's such a beloved vehicle that in honor of THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE Chevy has partnered up with Warner Bros. to create a live-size Lego version of the car fit for a Batman of any size.
Currently on display at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit until January 22, and then off to the Chicago Auto Show, the car measures at 17-feet long and over nine-feet wide. Made with 344,187 Lego bricks, the car weighs 1,695 pounds and has 86 feet of tubing on the inside to stabilize it. The car took 222 hours to design and 1,883 hours to build. Though it’s not for sale Chevy estimates a functioning one would cost around $48 million dollars. However, you can head over to the Chevy site and customize your own. Fun times!
Take a look at the awesomeness below!
THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE hits theaters February 10.
