Holy empty wallet, Batman! There will be plenty of exclusives at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con, including this incredible desktop sculpture of the Batcave set featured on the 1966 Batman TV series from Factory Entertainment. If you've ever wanted a miniature reproduction of that classic set, and, perhaps more importantly, have the money to burn, this is one hell of a cool collectible. The model measures an impressive 18” x 14” x 9” (45cm x 35cm x 22cm) and weighs in at over 20lbs. Check it out!
If your eagle eyes notice a few discrepancies between this sculpture and the set featured on the series, Factory Entertainment notes that "there was not one Batcave set. Rather, it was a series of ever-changing sets that would physically morph from scene to scene and season to season. It was a ‘live’ set that evolved regularly." So it was not their intent to duplicate a particular arrangement from a specific episode, but rather to replicate the "feel" of the Batcave set.
Each Batcave model contains more than 16 different LED lights, in a variety of hues, both fixed and animated, which bring the Batcave to life, including:
It also feature many moving parts, including:
Really? You couldn't include the Batmobile? That seems a little strange, but it's still very cool piece. If you want to add this bad boy to your collection, it will set you back a whopping $799.99. Not exactly pocket change, although, to Bruce Wayne, maybe it is.
