Gather your Nazi-hunting gear for one final ride because Hunters Season 2 will be the last to hit Amazon Prime Video. The drama series, created by David Weil and executive produced by Jordan Peele, is going out with a bang by having the second season focus on a worldwide search for Adolf Hitler, one of history’s most sinister and depraved monsters.
The debut season of HUNTERS followed a diverse band of Nazi hunters living in 1977 New York City. As they’re known, the Hunters have discovered that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the United States. In addition to Al Pacino, Logan Lerman, and Jerrika Hinton, the series also stars Josh Radnor, Kate Mulvany, Tiffany Boone, Greg Austin, Louis Ozawa, Carol Kane, Saul Rubinek, Dylan Baker, and Lena Olin.
Jennifer Jason Leigh joins Hunters for the show’s second season, with German actor Udo Kier playing Hitler. Emily Rudd and Tommy Martinez also star in recurring roles.
It feels like an eternity since Hunters hit Prime Video in early February 2020. Reviews for the series were primarily positive, with some critics saying the show offers a sensation of catharsis for those appalled by Nazi behavior and don’t mind seeing such a vile group get what’s coming to them. Will Hunters Season 2 provide audiences with a satisfying sense of closure after its delayed debut? I sure hope so.
Amazon Studios, Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, and Sonar Entertainment produce Hunters Season 2. Weil, who serves as showrunner, executive produces alongside Peele and Win Rosenfeld from Monkeypaw Productions, Phil Abraham, David Rosen, Jerry Kupfer, and Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, with David Ellender and Matt Loze from Sonar.
