Hunters: Al Pacino’s assassin show hunts Adolf Hitler himself in the trailer for the new season

Al Pacino and Logan Lerman return for the second and final season of the Amazon Prime streaming series, Hunters. The teaser has just been released, and this one looks to be a doozy, as the assassins are now on the hunt for Adolf Hitler [insert Kanye joke here]. THR reports on the teaser as it hooks you instantly with Dylan Baker’s Biff Simpson bargaining with Jonah Heidelbaum with the ultimate trade proposal, “Let me live, and I will bring you the biggest prize you could imagine: Adolf Hitler.”

The teaser reveals resident creepy character actor, Udo Kier, stepping into the infamous German’s shoes for the show. The one-minute look for the final season shows Heidelbaum declaring, “One more run and everything that we have done would have been worth it.” Jerrika Hinton’s Millie Morris, then replies, “We can’t do it alone, so where are your friends?” Enter the cast of assassins brought back for the follow-up season, where they state, “Evil doesn’t retire, so why should we?”

Amazon Prime reveals that this second and final season will take place “after an accident derails the Hunters’ exploits in Europe, and they ‘must band back together to hunt down history’s most infamous Nazi, Adolf Hitler, who’s hiding in South America.’ It will also look to the past to see Pacino’s Meyer Offerman encounter ‘a dangerous threat that could unravel his secret and expose his true identity, with explosive reverberations for our Hunters.’”

The series features the return of Josh Radnor, Tiffany Boone, Carol Kane, Louis Ozawa, Kate Mulvany, and Greg Austin, as well as newcomer Jennifer Jason Leigh. There will also be a companion podcast prior to the show’s season premiere titled, Chutzpah: Hunters Presents True Stories of Resistance. The six-episode podcast will detail real stories of heroism, resistance, and sacrifice during the Holocaust. The podcast drops on December 13.

Hunters season 2 will stream on Amazon on January 13, 2023.
