Much like HARRY POTTER, the modern world of THE LAST WITCH HUNTER has an abundance of witches that live amongst us. Unlike POTTER, we have a mighty Vin Diesel that's down for taking out these vicious supernatural creatures who are intent on unleashing the Black Death upon the world. Enter Kaulder (Diesel), a valiant warrior who has spent centuries hunting down rogue witches, all the while yearning for his long-lost loved ones. Unbeknownst to him, the Queen Witch who cursed him with immortality has been resurrected and now seeks revenge. Witness CG and sorcery!
Vin Diesel is keen on starting another franchise not focused on fast cars and word is that the studio might even want to lock him down for a sequel before this hits theaters. Methinks they should probably wait until this one opens before making any final decisions. THE LAST WITCH HUNTER looks like it could be fun, but I'm not sure it's the type of fun where we actually want to see multiple flicks. I am curious to see if Vin carries Elijah Wood up a mountain at any point in time. Oh man, could you imagine Vin Diesel as Sam in Lord of the Rings? You missed out, Jackson.
THE LAST WITCH HUNTER will hit theaters on October 23, 2015.
