A movie that has been making massive waves at two little known festivals this year–TIFF and Cannes–is about to see as wide a release as a film of this nature (no big names, not American) can hope to get. It’s called HUNGER and it’s about the last six weeks of the life of the Irish republican Bobby Sands, who began a hunger strike in protest against something…important. Not exactly WALL-E, now is it. But if all the buzz is true (when is it not?), then this one is going to be a doozy. The film is set for release on October 31st. Check out the poster below.
