Hulu releases music video for Sarah Silverman’s I Love You, America

While I believe Sarah Silverman can be pretty hit-or-miss, I do genuinely like her in things. She was great in WRECK-IT RALPH, and did a pretty good job in the upcoming BATTLE OF THE SEXES. I also like her stand-up, which is why I’m looking forward to her upcoming Hulu series I LOVE YOU, AMERICA.

Here’s the official synopsis:

From inciting treason to telling poop jokes, Sarah Silverman has created her fair share of online chatter. With I Love You, America, she’s looking to connect with people who may not agree with her personal opinions through honesty, humor, genuine interest in others, and not taking herself too seriously. While it’s great to connect with like-minded people, Silverman feels it’s crucial, now more than ever, to connect with un-like-minded people.

This sounds like it could be fun. What’s interesting is that it seems Silverman is poking fun at her own liberal biases, and from the description is trying to – if not find common ground – at least understand different perspectives. While I’m not sure that’s the most useful approach, I do appreciate that it’s different, and that in itself is refreshing.

Meanwhile, you can see I LOVE YOU, AMERICA streaming on Hulu right now.
