It's going to be a strange day when we've finally seen the last of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, but that day is quickly approaching, so we best get used to it. Production on the UNTITLED WOLVERINE SEQUEL wrapped up near the tail end of summer but we haven't really heard anything official from the flick so far; no teaser, no poster, not even a proper title. While speaking with Entertainment Tonight recently, Hugh Jackman revealed that we're just a week or so away from finding out more about the upcoming movie.
We've finished shooting. I just saw Jim Mangold today. He's editing away and finishing that, I'm very very excited about it. There's going to be some stuff coming out in the next week or so. That's all I'll say. I'm not good. I’m the kind of person who tells everybody everything. Basically it's going to be very different. Very different in tone and hopefully to anything we've done.
Who's to know what this reveal will consist of, but I'd be happy to see just about anything from the film at this point. In addition to Jackman, the WOLVERINE sequel also stars Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Elise Neal, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Patrick Stewart. Speaking of Stewart, the actor has previously said that it's possible this WOLVERINE sequel will also be his last X-MEN outing as well. Break out the tissues.
The UNTITLED WOLVERINE SEQUEL is set to hit theaters on March 3, 2017.
