Although director Bryan Singer previously said the original X-MEN trilogy stars won't appear in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, Hugh Jackman recently told Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Podcast he is in talks for the upcoming film. I know, big surprise, right?
There's still a lot unknown about that, actually. I have been speaking to the guys and I'm not at liberty to say exactly what's going on, [but] there are some very exciting things about integrating the whole X-Men world, including the Wolverine movie. There are some really cool things going on.
Speaking of the Wolverine films, Jackman says he's "very, very excited" about WOLVERINE 3 (obviously not the official title), and has been “working on it really hard” with writer David James Kelly. Which are you more excited for: X-MEN: APOCALYPSE or James Mangold's THE WOLVERINE sequel?
X-MEN: APOCALYPSE will hit theaters on May 27, 2016, and the next solo Wolverine movie is scheduled to be released on March 3, 2017.
