Hugh Jackman and giant robot ready to go a few rounds in Real Steel poster

It’s hard to remember the last time I was this skeptical of a movie’s premise, but I suppose I can’t be anything but surprised if REAL STEEL actually turns out to be good.

Fighting robots is one thing, but boxing robots? It seems like another notch or two up the ridiculous scale. This new poster for REAL STEEL shows Jackman in fighting form with his robot buddy (Atom?) in tow.

From the trailer we learn it’s a punching back robot trained to actually hit back, and the process of transforming him into a fighter unites Jackman and his estranged son.
