Hugh Grant & more return in set-photos from Love Actually sequel short

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

It's been ages since I last watched LOVE ACTUALLY (maybe I should remedy that), but I still fondly remember it as one of my favourite romantic-comedies. Released in 2003, the Richard Curtis film featured an ensemble cast in a number of stories, some of which were revealed to be interlinked, about their love lives in the month leading up to Christmas. LOVE ACTUALLY was certainly a success at the time, but over the years it has developed a very strong cult following. Last month it was revealed that many of the original cast would be returning for a short LOVE ACTUALLY sequel in order to benefit Comic Relief, a British charity which was co-founded by Richard Curtis.

Dubbed RED NOSE DAY ACTUALLY, the 10-20 minute sequel will see the return of Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, Keira Knightley, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Bill Nighy, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Andrew Lincoln, Lucia Moniz, Olivia Olson, Marcus Brigstocke and Rowan Atkinson. As well as being Richard Curtis' partner, Emma Freud also serves as director of Red Nose Day in the U.K., and she has been keeping fans updated with shots from the set of RED NOSE DAY ACTUALLY via Twitter. Check 'em out!

RED NOSE DAY ACTUALLY will air on March 24, 2017 on BBC One in the U.K., and will be broadcast as part of NBC’s Red Nose Day Special on May 25, 2017 in the U.S.
