So there’s a small book floating out there called HOW TO SURVIVE A HORROR MOVIE and for some reason I had no clue this existed. I mean, how can something like that be overlooked by any self respecting horror fanatic? Well I’m ashamed of myself, but that truly is besides the point. The book is pretty self explanatory and from what I’ve seen, it’s well written and to the point. I think some Hollywood writers need to pick this thing up to learn a few things about creating characters in a world of horror. But that’s another story.
Writer of the pocket book, Seth Grahame-Smith, blogged with information that points us in the direction of the CBS produced HOW TO SURVIVE A HORROR MOVIE web series that he was commissioned to make with Television veteran David Katzenberg. Here is what Seth had to say:
Dear Internet,
Would you know what to do if your corn had children in it? Could you recite the five basic types of ghost, or name the two-step method for killing a killer doll? Do you know what “C.R.A.V.E.N.” stands for?
Of course you don’t. But after watching all of the How to Survive a Horror Movie episodes, you will. This series of short training films was designed to give terror-virgins a fighting chance should they ever find themselves trapped in a horror movie.
The series is running from now until October 25th, with 6 episodes a week for 3 consecutive weeks. To read the rest of the blog Click here.
