Picking up the pieces of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR was no small feat, but AVENGERS: ENDGAME managed to stick the landing, not only giving us emotional conclusions to the arcs of several characters, but bringing some incredible action sequences to life as well. One such sequence was a hard-hitting fist-fight between Captain America (Chris Evans) and Captain America (Chris Evans), and Marvel Studios Visual Effects Supervisor Dan DeLeeuw sat down with Ryan Penagos of Earth's Mightiest Show to explain how the scene was developed.
While you would imagine that such a scene would involve a large amount of VFX, I'll admit to being surprised at just how much it took to bring the scene to life. As you can see, nearly the entire scene was shot on green-screen, and Dan DeLeeuw said that the CG set of Stark Tower was so detailed that they actually had to scale the detail back a little in order to avoid too much confusion during the quick-cutting fight scene.
