You can Celebrate Alien Day this April with tons of otherworldly swag!

Star Wars fans have May the Fourth. Futurama fans have Robanukah. But it's time for a new sci-fi fandom to get a holiday. In anticipation of the upcoming ALIEN: COVENANT, April 26th will be the launch of Alien Day, a 24 hour fan-focused social media event with plenty of goodies and special events for fans of the ALIEN franchise.

Dark Horse Comics, Funko, NECA, Sideshow Collectibles, Audible, Titan Books, Zen Studios and more than a dozen other companies are teaming to bring a cornucopia of face-hugging delights, including:

• An exact replica of the ALIEN High-Top Stompers worn by Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley. The Reebok Alien Stomper, as well as the mid top version worn by Lance Henrikson as the Android Bishop will be available beginning April 26th at Reebok.com and select Reebok stores worldwide.
• In over 20 cities, including Austin, New York, Los Angeles and Dallas, participating Alamo locations as well as partner venues will showcase a double-feature presentation of ALIEN and ALIENS.
• All these releases and activities culminate with a special 24 hour, fan-focused social media event on April 26th – a nod to LV-426, the planet from the iconic ALIEN films. ALIEN DAY (#AlienDay426) will see the kickoff the ALIEN: Ultimate Trivia Challenge, allowing fans to test their ALIEN knowledge – with the chance to win prizes every 42.6 minutes on Twitter.

These special events will also be marked by dozens of new products, including everything from new Alien related comic books, digital games, action figures, and high-end collectibles. We're getting Lieutenant Vasquez and Newt figures from NECA, a brand new audio drama read by Rutger Hauer and Matthew Lewis via Audible, and a deluxe 30th anniversary hardcover version of the original 1986ALIENS comic series from Dark Horse. 

It's enough to make your head explode, if your stomach doesn't first.

Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

Ridley Scott will be directing the film from a script by Michael Green, Jack Paglen, and John Logan. The film will star Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Benjamin Rigby, Demian Bichir, Jussie Smollett, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Callie Hernandez, Billy Crudup, and Michael Fassbender.
