Visit the world of Elysium with this new featurette

Now that PACIFIC RIM has stomped into theaters we can turn our sights to another big sci-fi film that looks equally as spectacular. I'm talking Neill Blomkamp's ELYSIUM, which stars Matt Damon, Jodie Foster and DISTRICT 9's Sharlto Copley, and if the trailers we've seen so far are any indication, we're in for something truly exciting with this film.

Today we have a look at "The World of Elysium" via a new featurette that includes some insight from Blomkamp, Damon and Foster, as well as some truly stunning footage from the film. You can check it out below.

In the year 2159, two classes of people exist: the very wealthy, who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Delacourt (Jodie Foster) will stop at nothing to preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium – but that doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in by any means they can. Max (Matt Damon) agrees to take on a life-threatening mission, one that could bring equality to these polarized worlds.

ELYSIUM will hit theaters on August 9, 2013 and stars Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley, and Alice Braga.
