Unearthed trailer

I’ve got a real soft spot (gooey, too) for the kind of creature feature that sneaks outta nowhere and bites your ass with big gnashing chompers. The upcoming horror flick UNEARTHED looks pretty damn effective on that level.

The movie stars official hottie Emmanuelle Vaugier (SAW II), Luke Goss (BLADE II) and Charlie Murphy (CHAPELLE’S SHOW) as folks stuck in a small New Mexico town with a rampaging beastie that looks like it ate a couple of ALIEN xenomorphs and Carpenter’s THE THING.

While I found director Matthew Leutwyler’s last flick DEAD & BREAKFAST to be a clunky attempt at horror-comedy, this sucker looks like it takes a basic Corman-style monster mash and siege scenario, and injects it with caffeine and half-decent production values. Just check out the trailer, which gets kinda batshit crazy.
