The Wicker Man: The Final Cut blu-ray details and art!

There is a lot of great stuff coming at us genre fans this fall, but perhaps none cooler than THE WICKER MAN: THE FINAL CUT, the definitive version of Robin Hardy’s cult classic. A few days ago we let you know that StudioCanal will be releasing the Blu-ray on October 14th (after a brief run in theaters) in the UK, and now we’ve got the artwork and details for the film.

First the details:

Disc 1: “The Final Cut” (HD): the UK theatrical Cut (HD) & the Director’s Cut (HD but with seamless branching to extra scenes in SD only) & audio commentary for Director’s Cut

Disc 2: extras (unspecified)

Disc 3: The soundtrack

Still no update on whether or not this will be available in the U.S. soon, but we’ve got to believe it will be eventually. (Unfortunately, this is not a Region Free release.)

Starring Edward Woodward, Christopher Lee and Britt Ekland, THE WICKER MAN is about:

a devout Christian policeman (Woodward) who is summoned to a remote Scottish island to investigate the disappearance of a child. While there he uncovers a bizarre pagan cult, led by Lord Summerisle (Lee). As preparations for a sinister ritual celebration reach fever pitch, the policeman begins to realise what role the islanders intend him to play.
