Those familiar with the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival in Spain know that, simply put, Sitges the most important genre film event in Europe, and today we have a teaser for a new Spanish language horror film that is co-written by Sitges fest deputy director Mike Hostench titled ASMODEXIA, and it sounds like it could be a terrifying good time.
ASMODEXIA is the feature debut of Marc Carrete, whose shorts “Mal cuerpo” and slasher pic “Castidermia” bowed at Catalonia’s Sitges Festival in 2011 and 2012, respectively. Carrete co-wrote the screenplay for ASMODEXIA alongside Hostench and the film is set to go into production August 26, with Hostench taking an associate producer credit.
Asmodexia unspools over five days in the lives of an exorcist and his granddaughter, working in the Barcelona area.”
