While there have been a fair share of peeps that believe Netflix's STRANGER THINGS was a vastly overrated piece of nostalgia and nothing more (our own Jake Dee did a whole article on such opinions right over HERE), personally, I fall into the camp that says the parts with the kids – especially anything Dustin-related – were by far the best parts of the series.
I didn't care for Eleven though. Sue me.
That said, I'm glad the sheriff and (most) of the kids will be back for more "member berries" and fun times this coming Halloween. Oh, and Nancy. I'm glad Nancy is coming back as well. Anyhow, if there were a way to make me more excited about season two it would be Mike Wheeler himself telling us all that the new season will be filled with more horror!
Oh, wait. He just did!
STRANGER THINGS and STEPHEN KING'S IT star Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) was recently talking with People and dropped some hints that season two of the massively popular Netflix series was going to be heading in a much darker, disturbing, and horror oriented direction.
Finn Wolfhard on STRANGER THINGS Season 2:
There are going to be some challenges that the characters face that are real, that are disturbing. I think this season will be a lot more dark. A lot more horror oriented. I think people are going to like it better than the first season.
Oo-De-Lally. Now just tell me Nancy is going to stick with the cool dude and forever jettison the Edward Furlong on drugs looking dude, and I'll be happy as Eleven eating waffles and scowling, or whatever it was she did all throughout season one.
STRANGER THINGS Season 2 hits Netflix this Halloween.
We know who to cast if they do a gritty Clarissa Explains It All reboot
