1922: Director Zak Hilditch has recorded a commentary for Stephen King film

Feeling a "simmering rage" over the lack of audio commentaries for films that have been released through streaming services, filmmaker Grant Sputore and VFX artist Dave McDonnell have decided to right this wrong by creating a podcast called The Commentary Cast. Their goal with this show is to record "feature length commentaries that provide an in-depth conversation with filmmakers as they review and break down their work". The Commentary Cast is only just getting started, but even their very first episode is of interest to us here at Arrow in the Head.

In episode 1 of The Commentary Cast, writer/director Zak Hilditch provided an audio commentary for his 2017 Stephen King adaptation 1922. You can listen to the episode at THIS LINK.

Boasting an incredible lead performance from Thomas Jane, 1922 shows what happens when 

a rancher conspires to murder his wife for financial gain and convinces his teenage son to participate.

Jane is joined in the cast by Molly Parker, Dylan Schmid, Kaitlyn Bernard, and Neal McDonough.

The Commentary Cast sounds like a great idea to me, and it's awesome that they chose 1922 for their first episode. Sputore and McDonnell recommend that you watch the movie as you listen to the podcast commentary, so if you want to watch along with this one 1922 can be found on Netflix.
