Starry Eyes duo to peruse Exorcism Diaries

EXORCISM DIARIES, the flick based on the original case file that inspired THE EXORCIST – because case files are really in right now – has finally found a director. Or rather, it's found two. The men behind the Hollywood cult flick STARRY EYES, directors Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch, have signed on to helm the picture and rewrite the original script by OCULUS' Mike Flanagan and Jeff Howard.

EXORCISM DIARIES tells of a young woman, fresh out of rehab and looking to make amends, who discovers her family's horrifying connection to the most famous exorcism of all time may be the cause behind her brother's increasingly violent behavior.

Exorcism stories have been rapidly losing their punch following an indundation of pictures like DEVIL'S DUE and DELIVER US FROM EVIL, but maybe these two fresh minds can wring something truly creative out of what is literally one of the oldest stories in the book. No official release date has been set for EXORCISM DIARIES, but when it has (or if they finally change that boring title), you will certainly hear about it here!
